Think about your own sales team for a moment—how many of your sales team would you say are really good?
When you ask kids what they want to be when they grow up, few (if any) children respond that they want to be in sales. As a result, most sales people tend to fall into their careers, rather than actively choosing to pursue a sales role.
That means most never actually receive sales training.
